The State of Ohio, Mahoning County,
To William W. Cook, William Cook and Lewis Williamson
GREETING: You are hereby informed that the court of
Probate, within and for the County of Mahoning, in the State of Ohio, on the
tenth day of march in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty appointed
you to appraise on oath all the goods, chattels, moneys, rights and credits,
belonging to the estate of Richard Templin late of Goshen Township, in said County,
deceased, which may be in said County, and which are by law to be administered,
and perform all other duties required of you by law, in the promises as such
appraisers.
In Testimony Whereof, I hereunto subscribe my name and
affix the seal of said Court, at Canfield, this twelfth day of March in the
year one thousand eight hundred and sixty.

We, the undersigned, do make oath, that we will truly,
honestly and impartially appraise the state and property that may be exhibited
to us, belonging to the estate of Richard Templin lat of the Township of Goshen
in said County, deceased, and perform all other duties required of us by law,
in the promises, as Appraisers, according to law and that best of our knowledge
and ability.

In the name of Almighty God I Rich Templin of Goshen
Township in the county of Mahoning and State of Ohio being of sound mind and
memory do make and publish this my last will and testament as follows:
It is my will that my funeral expenses and all my just
debts be paid out of my estate.
Item 1st: I leave to my granddaughter May Templin,
daughter of my son Andrew Templin, deceased, big one cow, one bed beasted and
bedding, one furrow, one table and one half dozen chickens.
Item 2nd: It is my will that as soon as
convenient after my decease My executors proceed to sell my estate both real
and personal and convert the same into money and that from the process of the
same the pay the following legacies to wit.
Item 3rd: To my son John Templin in addition
to the amount heretofore received by him from me the sum of one hundred dollars.
Item 4th: To the heirs of my son Andrew
Templin deceased each twenty dollars in addition to what he has received
heretofore.
Item 5th: To my son Lewis Templin in addition
to the amount heretofore received by him from me, the sum of Three hundred
dollars.
Item 6th: To my Son Rich Templin in addition to the
amount heretofore received by him from me, the sum of Four Hundred and fifty
dollars.
Item 7th: To my son Mark B. Templin, the sum
of one thousand dollars, he having never received anything heretofore.
Item 8th: To the heirs of my daughter
Elizabeth Pow deceased, the sum of one hundred dollars each.
Item 9th: To the heirs of my daughter Mary L.
Cook, dec’d, the sum of one hundred and twenty five dollars each.
Item 10th: To the heir of my daughter, June
Dunn, deceased five hundred dollars.
Item 11th: It is my will that if there should
not be sufficient money realized from my said estate to give all of said
legacies that then in that case said deficiencies be in portion according to
the amount of each of said legacies.
Item 12th: It is my will that should there any
surplus remain after satisfying the aforesaid legacies that the same shall be
divided amount my children and grand children in proportion to the amount of
each of said legacies as above named the same as if there had been no will.
Item 13th: I hereby constitute and appoint my
son Lewis Templin and my friend George Pow executors of this my last will and
authorize them to carry out its provisions fully, and I authorize them to sell
my real estate and make and execute deeds. Therefore fully as I could if
living, and to sale the said real estate as also my personal estate as public
sale as to them seems best and upon terms as they may deemed most advantageous.
Item 14th: It is my will that Alexander Pow
act as guardian for the minor heirs of my deceased daughter Elizabeth Pow, and
that Wm Dunn act as guardian for the minor heir of deceased daughter Jane Dunn,
and that my son Rich Templin act as guardian for the minor heirs of my deceased
daughter Mary L. Cook.
In testimony whereof I have herein so let my hand seal
this ninth day of August, AD 1859
