ORLANDO TEMPLIN WILL
I, Orlando Templin of Shamokin, Northumberland County and
State of Pennsylvania, being of sound mind memory and understanding, do make
and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void
all former wills by me at any time heretofore made, And first, I direct that my
body be decently buried and that my funeral be conducted in a manner
corresponding with my ______ and situation in life, As to such estate as it
hath pleased God to entrust to with, I dispose of the same as follows: Vig:
Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Hanna Templin
all my household furnishing decent and comfortable manner the dwelling house
now in process of _____ adjoining and next to my present dwelling house for her
use and the use of my youngest son Joseph, so long as she lives or remains my
widow and as long as my son Joseph is a minor or under Twenty one years of age,
I also give, devise and bequeath to her, my said wife, the use, improvement and
income of my present dwelling _______ and the use, improvement and income of
one half the premises on which my said dwelling house is situated for her
support and maintenance as long as she lives or remains my widow and for the
support of my youngest son, Joseph until he is at the age of twenty one years.
Item, Whatever other property I may have at the time of my
decease, I give, devise and bequeath to my six sons, Henry, Jessie, Emanuel,
Isaac, Philip and Joseph to be divided equally among the same share and share
alike.
Item: I bequeath and give to my said six sons share and
share alike all other real estate is any such I may have at the time of my
decease.
Item: I give and bequeath to my son Isaac and desire that
upon the death of my wife Hanna or her marriage that all my property vested in
her use by this will and for the use of my son Joseph, shall be sold and out of
the proceeds of the sale that the sum of four hundred ($400) dollars shall be
give to my said son Isaac first, and after that I wish she balance of the
proceeds to be divided equally among my said sons share and share alike.
Item: It is my desire and wish that if any one of the
parties herein received is __________
to contest my will, that such person shall be deprived of
all the property that my be conveyed to him by this will and that it be distributed
equally among the rest of my heirs, and I do hereby make and declare S. H.
Chapman and Isaac Templin, Executors of this my last will and testament. In
witness whereof Orlando Templin, the testator, have to his, my will written on
one sheet of paper set my hand and seal this second (2nd) day of
July A. D. 1870.

Orlando Templin, as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us
who have hereunto subscribed and names at this request as witnesses thereto, in
the presence of the said testator and of each other. O. B. Hoffman, Wm. H.

Be it remembered that on the 18th day of July Ammo
Domino 1870 personally appeared before me, I Leistering Register to in and for
said County O. B. Hoffman and Wm. H Knauss, the subscribing witnesses to the
foregoing Instrument of writing purporting to be the last will and testament of
Orlando Templin, who upon their solemn oaths did declare and say that they were
personally present and did see and hear the Testator here in named sign.
