            Charles Sumner Templin, 77, of 908 Homewood Ave., died at his home at 6:15 p.m. Saturday after an illness of six weeks.


            Born in Salem Aug. 3, 1887, he was the son of the late Mark and Emma Whitacre Templin. On Sept. 3, 1910, he was married to Mae Freed. The family has lived in Salem 28 years, having moved here from Leetonia. Mr. Templin was a retired foreman of Silver Manufacturing Co., where he was employed for 40 years. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.


            He is survived by his wife.


            Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Arbaugh-Pearce Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold W. Deitch officiating. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery.


            Friends may call at the funeral home this evening.
