Age 71 formerly of Sanford, FL and Rogers, AR died August 29, 2005 in San Antonio. He was born February 8, 1934 in Jenks, OK to William and Nellie Templin. He spent the majority of his adult life, 1953- 1991 in the service of his country. He was a life member of the Retired Officers Association, member of the American Legion and Fleet Reserve. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Defense Meritorious twice, Air Medal 22 times, two awards of Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal twice, Combat Ribbon, Vietnamese Cross of Air Gallantry and various others totaling 64 awards. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Katherine Templin; his daughter, Deborah Mayton (husband Gary), and his son, Raymond Randall Templin; grandchildren, Michelle, Kyle and Kelly Mayton, Raymond Randall Templin, Jr.; great grandchild, Shawn Patrick Templin. A memorial service and interment will be held, Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at 10AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX.
