Charles O. Templin, 83, of 724 Cheyenne Dr., died Saturday at a local nursing home after a lengthy illness.


A service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Goodrich Chapel with the Rev. Delbert Paulson officiating. Burial will be in the Grandview Cemetery.


Born on September 14, 1885 in Trinidad, he married Vena Jarvis on December 24, 1912 in Denver and moved to Fort Collins in 1905. She died in 1970.


He received his bachelorís degree in business administration from the University of Denver in 1905 and worked for J. C. Penney Co., until 1937. He then owned and operated Mac-Van Locker Rentals in Fort Collins until 1961. He was affiliated with the First United Methodist Church and was a past member of Kiwanis, Masonic and El Jebel Shrine.


He is survived by four brothers, John of Evans, Will of Oakland, Calif., Elmer of Sonora, Calif. and Laten Templin of Kansas City, Kan.; one sister, Fanny Mae Burger of Denver and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
