            Carl J. Templin of rural Plato passed away at Plato Thursday, July 3, 1980, at the age of 73-years, eight months and 21-days. Funeral service was conducted Monday morning, July 7, at eleven o’clock at the St. John’s Lutheran Church of Plato. Rev. Raymond Wiebold officiated.


            Mr. Templin farmed in his younger years and later was employed as an electrician.


            He was born October 12, 1906 at Plato, the son of Henry F. Templin and his wife, Magdaline Kroppen. He attended District No. 48 School.


            Four sisters, three brothers survive his death, namely Mrs. Ruben (Eleanore) Dose and Mrs. Harold (Hilda) Graupmann both of Plato, Mrs. Henry (Ruth) Bollmann, Watertown, Mrs. Luella Will of Finlayson, Henry F. Templin, Plato, Arthur T. Templin, Belleview, Washington and Harold H. Templin, Glencoe.


            His parents and one brother Herbert, preceded him to the grave.


            Interment was in the St. John’s Lutheran cemetery at Plato and the casket bearers were Luther Will, Melvin H. Dose, Orlin Graupmann, David Will, Norman Dose and Mark Templin.


            Arrangements were by the Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel, Glencoe.
