Carl Alma Templin 1930 ~ 2004


Carl Alma Templin 73, our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away July 19, 2004. He was born December 26, 1930 in Castle Dale, Utah to Carl Leon and Flora Madsen Templin. On June 20, 1949 he married Darlene Bunkall in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Carl served for nine years in the U.S. Army Reserves, attaining the rank of Sgt. First Class. He owned and managed the Day and Night Markets, Breezeway Market and Pic n Pac Markets. He graduated from Stevens-Henager College and served as a Certified Public Accountant since 1975. Carl was a High Priest in the LDS Church and served in two bishoprics. He also served a mission in his later years at the Bishop's Storehouse in Sandy. Survivors: wife, Darlene, Midvale; children, Carl Ross (Shirley) Templin, Cedar City; Connie (Mike) Inselsberger, Midvale; Bonnie (Don) Densley, Sandy; Carlene (Bill) Opheikens, Midvale; Douglas (Debbie) Templin, South Carolina; Ken Templin, Sandy; 21 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brothers, Jim (Doris) Templin and Jay Templin; sister, Eva Fields. Preceded in death by a son, Larry Dean Templin and his parents. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 23, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. in the Union Park 2nd Ward 7500 South 700 East. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
