FORMER WATKINS DEALER HERE DIES IN MILL CITY

 

            Carl Templin, 62, died Monday at the University Hospital in Minneapolis. He was a resident of Richfield the past six months. He was a former Watkins dealer in the New Ulm area for 18 years.

 

            Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Redeemer Lutheran Church with burial in the City Cemetery. Visitation will be until 9 p.m. at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Chapel and Thursday from noon until the time of services at the church.

 

            Survivors include his wife; a son, Harlan, of Tucson, Ariz.; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Syverson, of Richfield; seven grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Betty Lundgren of Minneapolis and Mrs. Ortwin Werth of Spring Lake.

 

            He was born July 13, 1906 in Hamburg. He married the former Cordelia Scheele on June 5, 1932.

 

            Templin was one of the top salesmen nationally for Watkins, and had won many honors. In 1956, he was named captain of the Watkins All-American sales team. At that time he had won national first place in sales four years in a row.
