Betty Jane Templin of Arlington Heights for 48 years

Memorial services for Betty Jane Templin (nee Hauf), 74, will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, at St. Simon Episcopal Church, 717 W. Kirchoff Road, Arlington Heights. Born July 14, 1929, in Evanston, she passed away Friday, May 28, 2004, to be with the Lord. Betty was a compassionate person whose greatest joy was caring for family and friends. For more than 40 years, she enjoyed the fellowship of her close Bunco friends. She was a gifted seamstress, craftswoman and cook. She retired as a long-term employee of The Bradford Exchange in 1993.

She is survived by her husband, Art, with whom she would have celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary on June 26; her son, Gary Templin; daughters, Sharon (John) Cheshire and Christine (Tom) DeTaeye; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Benjamin DeTaeye; and a sister, Elly (John) Brandt. She is truly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Simon Episcopal Church. Friends may visit to express condolences and sign the guest book.
