Betty Jane Templin of Arlington Heights for 48 years
Memorial services for
Betty Jane Templin (nee Hauf), 74, will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, at St. Simon
Episcopal Church, 717 W. Kirchoff Road, Arlington Heights. Born July 14, 1929, in Evanston, she passed away Friday, May 28, 2004, to be with the Lord. Betty was a compassionate person
whose greatest joy was caring for family and friends. For more than 40 years,
she enjoyed the fellowship of her close Bunco friends. She was a gifted
seamstress, craftswoman and cook. She retired as a long-term employee of The Bradford
Exchange in 1993.
She is survived by her
husband, Art, with whom she would have celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary
on June 26; her son, Gary Templin; daughters, Sharon (John) Cheshire and Christine (Tom) DeTaeye; grandchildren, Elizabeth and
Benjamin DeTaeye; and a sister, Elly (John) Brandt. She is truly loved and will
be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
