Betty Templin, 71, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend died peacefully Friday, January 13, 2006 surrounded by her loving family.

Betty was born in Butte on Sept. 26, 1934, the fourth child born to Dorothy and Bud Mirich. She was raised on the East Side and attended the Grant School and Butte High School. She worked as a cook, most recently at the Husky, now the Flying J and the Oasis. She was fondly known as "Ma" by her coworkers.

She married Charles Templin in Butte on June 3, 1955. They enjoyed their many trips to Jackpot whenever they could get away. Together they raised five children who they loved dearly.

Family was very important to her. She took great pleasure in attending dance performances, hockey games, sporting events and everything else that the kids were involved in. She looked forward every year to buying the Christmas and Easter dresses for her many granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles, sisters Goldie Sorenson and Helen Sanchez, her brother Bud Mirich and her grandson David Sheehan.

Betty is survived by her children and spouses, Terry and David Sheehan, Dolan and Donna Duffy, Debra Leal, Donald and Jamie Templin and Robert and Tracy Templin; sons-in-law Robert Toombs and Luis Leal; grandchildren, Rochelle Sheehan, Brad and Lisa Sheehan, Shanelle and George Skeel, Jordann Duffy, B.J. and Derek Toombs, Zachary, Tayler and Victoria Templin, Zachary Warner, Darren Cupp, Brittany and Kylee Templin; great-grandchildren Caitlyn Sheehan and Madison Skeel; sister Beverly Braach; numerous nieces and nephews.

She will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends and will forever be in our hearts.

Memorial services will be conducted Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home with the Rev. William Vernon officiating.

Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Rockies or to the Paul Clark-McDonald's Family Place.
