Mrs. Bessie A.
Templin, 98, a resident of Albany Nursing Care the past several years, died
today at the care facility after an extended illness.
Born April 6,
1897 in WellsCounty, she was a daughter of James and Ida Markle Pace. Her marriage June 25,
1915 was to Roswell Templin, who preceded her in death Feb. 6,
She had been a member
of TrinityUnitedMethodistChurch for over 50 years and retired from Jay Garment Co., after many years,
as well as working in home health care several years.
Surviving are two
daughters, Mrs. Max (Betty) Blankenbaker of Portland, and Mrs. Elmer (Pearline) Stroud of Scottsdale, Ariz.,
two sisters, Mrs. Leona Mills of Hartford City, and Mrs. Isaac McCullum of
Geneva; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, 12
great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild.
Funeral rites will be
at Wednesday in the Portland Chapel of Williamson & Spencer Funeral
Home, with Pastor David Smitley officiating. Burial will be in GreenParkCemetery.
