Mrs. Bertha Templin, 75, of 1526 East Fourth Street, died of a heart ailment at 5 a.m. Friday at the Scott Convalescent Home, 215 Falls Avenue, where she had been a patient the past four months.


Born February 23, 1871, in Germany, the daughter of Wilhelm and Wilhelmina Calleas Humke, she came to Waterloo in 1893. She was married to Otto Templin in 1896 in Waterloo.


She was a member of First Lutheran Church.


She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Amelia Struck, 226 Quincy Street; one niece, Miss Mata Struck, 226 Quincy Street, and one nephew, Paul Struck, 703 Reber Avenue.


She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, who died 15 years ago.


The body is a Parrott & Wood Funeral Home. Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday with Rev. H. H. Diers, pastor of First Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
