BERTHA E. TEMPLIN, 79, WORKED AT KNITTING MILLS


Bertha E. (Egolf) Templin, 79, of Buchert Road, Gilbertsville, widow of Lloyd L. Templin, died Thursday in Lehigh Valley Hospital, near Allentown. Born in Pottstown, she was a daughter of the late Emma (Kalis) and John H. Egolf Sr.

 

Mrs. Templin worked as a folder at Sircom Knitting Mill, formerly of Spring City, for many years, until retiring in 1988. She previously worked in production at Philco Corporation in Spring City for 20 years. Mrs. Templin attended Calvary United Church of Christ in Barto.

 

Mrs. Templin is survived by a son, Barry L. Templin Sr. of Newmanstown; a daughter, Linda L. Templin of Gilbertsville; four brothers, Richard W. Egolf of Barto, Ronald K. Egolf of Richland, North Carolina, Vernon M. Egolf of Hereford, and Harley G. Egolf of Pottstown; six grandsons; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Herman G., Sharpless L., John H., David E. and Herbert F. Egolf.

 

A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, 111 North Reading Avenue, Boyertown, with the Rev. Homer Royer officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Boyertown. Friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
 
Templin - On Thursday, October 10, 2002, Bertha E. (Egolf) Templin, widow of Lloyd L. Templin, of 190 Buchert Road, Gilbertsville, PA, age 79 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Tuesday, October 15, 2002, at 2:00 p.m. at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, 111 North Reading Avenue, Boyertown, PA. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Boyertown. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.

Egolf of Hereford, and Harley G. Egolf of Pottstown; six grandsons; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Boyertown. The arrangements were handled by the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Boyertown.
