August Paul Templin, 74, of 2075 Vista Drive, Ferndale, died Saturday.

Born June 2, 1906, in Mapleton, Minn., he had been a resident of Whatcom County since 1951 and a Ferndale resident for the past eight years. He was a member of Central Lutheran Church, Bellingham, and of the Ferndale Jet Oldsters.

He is survived by his wife, Mabel, a son, two daughters, 11 grandchildren, a brother and two sisters.

Visitation hours will be from 9 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, followed by services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Moles Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Enterprise Cemetery.

He leaves to survive his wife Mabel of Ferndale; 1 son, Virgil of Bellingham; 2 daughters, Paula Hynes of Seattle; Myrna Rodenberger of Bellingham; 1 brother, Leo of Black Diamond; 2 sisters, Louella Doherty of Elma; Myrtle Capponi of Sequim; also 11 grandchildren.

Friends may pay their respects at Moles Funeral Home Tues., August 12, 9 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tues., August 12 at 2 p. in Moles Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dennis Anderson officiating. Interment to follow at Enterprise Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
