Ann E. Templin, 81,
of Minneapolis, formerly of Gibbon, died Thursday at the Mount Sinai Hospital in Minneapolis after being hospitalized for the past
month.
Services were at 12:30 p.m. Monday at the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Moltke Township, Sibley County, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by
sisters, Mrs. Daniel (Helen) Clifford of Minneapolis and Mrs. Stuart (Emma) Perry of Minnetonka; sister-in-law, Mrs. Helene Templin of
Gibbon; and ten nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by seven brothers
and one sister.
She was born on September
1, 1900, in Moltke Township, Sibley County, to John and Catherine (Elling) Templin. She was raised in the gibbon
area where she attended the parochial school in rural Gibbon. After her
schooling, she resided on the family farm and worked. She moved to the Minneapolis area in the mid-1950’s where she became a
salesperson selling bakery goods before her retirement in 1967. She was an
active member of the Trinity First Lutheran Church in Minneapolis.
