Lake Crystal – Former rural Nicollet resident Alwina Marie Templin, 95, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 1997, at Lake Crystal Health Care Center.


Services at 11 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Courtland, the Rev. Wayne Bernau officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.


Visitation is one hour before services Monday at the church. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Lake Crystal Mortuary is handling arrangements.


Mrs. Templin was born September 6, 1901, to Fred and Alwina (Bode) Stolt in rural Nicollet. She attended a country school and Nicollet High School. She was a housekeeper for various families. She married Otto Templin in 1965 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. They lived in the Norwood-Young America area. She moved to Lake Crystal Health Care Center about two years ago.


Mrs. Templin is survived by one sister, Beata Stolt of Nicollet; one brother, Alfred of Sleepy Eye; two sisters-in-law, Olgo Stolt of Mankato and Gertrude Stolt of St. Peter; nieces and nephews; one stepson and his wife, Herman and Marion Templin of New Germany; one stepdaughter and her husband, Esther and Harold Schrupp of Grand Rapids; eight step-grandchildren; 24 great step-grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one infant sister, three step-grandchildren and six brothers, including one in infancy.
