Funeral services for Alvin E. Templin, 75, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, at Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., Dundee.

Born April 28, 1926, in Chicago, the son of Fred and Alma Templin, he died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2001, at the Carrington Care Center in South Elgin. Mr. Templin was a former many-year employee of Harper College and a World War II and Korean War veteran, having served in the Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; sons, Michael of Sycamore, David (Susan) of Elgin and William (Tracy) of Geneva; granddaughter, Gillian; and grandson, Aaron. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Luebbers; and his parents. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Seasons Hospice or the Alzheimers Association.
